The rack grinding machine ZSM profi moves the machine table in the X direction (table machine). For helical racks, the grinding head can be swiveled automatically (programmably and servo-motor driven) by +/-30°. This allows quick and highly precise swiveling as needed. The enclosed slide eliminates the need for prior cleaning. The optimal position for grinding wheel changes can therefore be reached quickly and automatically when required.
The rigidity and travel ranges have been optimized and designed so that the full clamping range can be utilized even with the grinding head swiveled ±20°. The position is monitored by the controller.

The machine is equipped with an automatic swivel axis.
The clamping is released hydraulically, a servo motor and an absolute angle measuring device position the C-axis with extreme precision +/-30°.

Fully automatic balancing system which recognizes and removes unbalances at a very early stage. This guarantees a high quality of the workpiece surfaces and a long tool life of the spindle.

The grinding disk will be dressed during production with a 2-axis (3-axis = optional) CNC controlled diamond wheel which enables a consistently high quality and less downtime.
